Good morning my distinguished elders, senior colleagues and colleagues. I am Dr Ovundah Nyeche a graduate of Human Anatomy and Medicine and Surgery from the University of Port Harcourt.
I am a member of the West African College of Physicians, Faculty of Internal Medicine, an Associate member of the Nigerian Cardiac Society, a professional member of the European Society of Cardiology and a member of the British Society of Echocardiography.
I am currently a Senior Registrar in the Cardiology Division and a 2nd-term Chief Resident in the Department of Internal Medicine, Rivers State University Teaching Hospital, Port Harcourt.
I lecture in the Department of Internal Medicine, Rivers State University, Port Harcourt.
I serve as the Vice Chairman of the Christian Medical and Dental Association of Nigeria, Rivers State (RSUTH), the National Coordinator (Medical Outreach) Eagles Network International, the Secretary of the Port Harcourt Interventional and Rhythm Society and the Secretary of the Publicity Committee of the NMA Rivers State.
I served as the Head NMA Port Harcourt 2022 AGC/DM Media and Publicity Sub-Committee, Secretary CMDA Rivers State, Asst. Secretary CMDA Rivers State, as well as several other platforms.
In 2013, I bagged the Governor’s award, as the best Youth Corps member Batch 12B in Ekiti State Nigeria. In 2021 I was honoured by the Association of Resident Doctors , Rivers State University Teaching Hospital with the “Most Distinguished Resident Award”.
I am the author of the books Sex: The Naked Truth and Hear Word, a blogger, Certified Marriage and Relationship Mentor and by God’s grace a well sought after public speaker.
I also serve as a Pastor in the Wisdom Place Church.
I have lived a life full of service to people and in furtherance of this service, may I humbly inform you that I am aspiring to serve you in the office of the Assistant Secretary, NMA Rivers State Branch. I therefore humbly solicit your support in advance.
In the coming days, I will be sharing with you my plans and vision for the secretariat of the NMA and indeed the entire NMA.
