Where do you stand?

Spread the love

By Ovundah Nyeche.

One day some will be graduating from a Bible school on another day, it will be advertisement of flesh and a lifestyle opposite the tenets of the faith professed.

God is not a Sunday Sunday God.

The God of Sunday is still the God of the whole week. The God of welcome to church, is still the God of Thank God it is Friday #TGIF.

The God of offline, is still God online.

The God of life in the open also sees things done in secret.

Come as you are, does not necessarily mean reject and rebel against positive change.

Chose where you stand and may that choice be Jesus and Jesus alone.

…All other ground is sinking sand.

Spread the love

In just few weeks, an unseen virus has disrupted the world order. Countries thought to be in order, are showing signs of disorder and confusion.

Sane citizens, fighting insanely in supermarkets as they rush to buy essential supplies and commodity. Queues in supermarkets getting longer.

Things which were certain, now seem uncertain. No football, who cares about the Premier League, La Liga, Bundesliga, Italian Serie A or Champions League, no balls, many gatherings suspended, even Church is now online in many places.

Super nations, developing nations and undeveloped nations alike doing all they can do to stop the evil wind.

Fear palpable, science not offering all the answers, dread and despair sold for a penny.

Nations preparing for the worst and hoping for the best.

Very few people would have known the world will be this shaky; often very crowded places in grave yard silence.

A time is coming maybe today, maybe tomorrow, may be next tomorrow; Who knows?

There will be a shout, a trumpet shout…

Graves will quake, the land will give up saints, the sea will give up saints. The dead in Christ will rise, like a magnet to a pin, they will be attracted to Jesus.

Then we who remain, if we still wear this costume, shall be caught up. Yes… We will hear a music in the air and we will be caught up with the saints.

Do you know that Jesus Christ is coming again? This is not folklore.

Like brother Peter says, “… the day of the Lord will come as unexpectedly as a thief. Then the heavens will pass away with a terrible noise, and the very elements themselves will disappear in fire, and the earth and everything on it will be found to deserve judgment.

Since everything around us is going to be destroyed like this, what holy and godly lives you should live, looking forward to the day of God and hurrying it along. On that day, he will set the heavens on fire, and the elements will melt away in the flames.

But we are looking forward to the new heavens and new earth he has promised, a world filled with God’s righteousness.

And so, dear friends, while you are waiting for these things to happen, make every effort to be found living peaceful lives that are pure and blameless in his sight.”

Jesus is coming again.

Give your life to Jesus today! Live your life to please Him.

Love in deeds too.

Spread the love

By Jane Miebi Igali.

It is a new opportunity to be our anointed selves and do good to all men, as an act of spreading the Good news. Last week I went to buy a phone in a shopping complex, I have just enough money to get a cheap phone that I can also Whatsapp with. My budget for a phone that could do this and more was #19,000.

On the staircase , I met a young man who looked as though he had a fever as he was shivering seriously and breaking a sweat. At first I walked pass him, but as I made another move to go into the shopping complex, I heard a strong voice inside of me, prompting me to speak to him.

I then went back to talk with him, but as I tried to start a conversation, I noticed  he was too sick to talk much. His eyes were also red and watery. I knew I had to help him and help him fast. I called a taxi,  and when the taxi arrived,  the taxi driver and I helped him into the car. We then took him to a care place, got drugs for him and paid his bills. At the end I spent about #5,000 and I was left with #14,000 for my mobile phone, and had to go back to the phone shop, to get a phone of #14,000.

On our way back to the shop, he asked me why I helped him. I told him it is because of who I have in my heart. He said he was a Muslim. I told him I was born again. He was shocked but very receptive and eager to listen to me. He asked for my phone number. I then wrote it down in a copy of my daily devotional and gave it to him.

He told me he will read it. I didn’t ask him to receive Jesus immediately. I listened to my spirit for more instructions and followed. But his conviction has been initiated. I never spoke to my taxi man, but when he was dropping me off, he told me he was going to get serious with Jesus and with loving people.

This is how we preach the gospel through good works. This week, be the church. Never be part of those that go about talking about what the church has refused to do. You are the body of Christ. Do all that you expect from your church and leaders.

Love the brethren. Love strangers. Love the Lord. Be instant in season . Don’t let any opportunity pass without preaching. We are wise Believers. A generation of Believers that live to Love unconditionally, live to preach the Gospel shamelessly and live for our Father’s Glory intentionally.

Yes. We are the body Of Christ. We are His hands that reach out to the lost. You were in church today. Be the church throughout this week. Labour in Love. Don’t let the love that’s being shed abroad in your heart lie dormant in there. Live the love life. Don’t allow people question the church in your generation!

I love you. God Bless your Week.

Today may be a Friday, but Sunday is coming…

Spread the love

By Ovundah Nyeche.

Fridays could be sunny, and turbulent.

Fridays could be the day when the crown, instead of sitting right on your head, digs deep into your skin, cause damage and  gives you a bloody face.

Fridays could be the day when those you trust betray and blackmail you. When those you hugged leave you for better options.

Fridays could be the day when those you gave your all, conspire to pull you down.

Fridays could be day when the storm and rain pull down everything you have worked so hard for.

Friday could be the day when those you could bet your life to stand by you, turned their backs against you and watched you suffer but did nothing and laughed you to scorn.

Fridays could be the day when the dog you are feeding, finishes its food and turns back to bite you; and all you have left is an empty plate, bloody hand and a broken heart.

Never to worry…

Fridays never last forever.

Wet handkerchiefs don’t stay wet for ever.

Even those wounds can heal.

Fridays are planting days.

Fridays are days when the blacksmith puts the impure gold in the hot crucible.

Fridays never last forever.

Sunday is coming.

Sunday will come.

It won’t end this way.

Thank you Jesus for everything.

And yes don’t go through Fridays without Jesus, He knows first hand what Fridays feel like and He will never leave or forsake you.

God bless you.

I hope to hear from you.
