Tuesday 24th July 2018 is pregnant and loaded with awesome activities at NMA House.

Did you know that there will be a second panel discussion between 2.30 and 3.45 pm on that day?

The topic for this discussion is “Health Care Financing: Confronting the Challenges of Universal Health Coverage and Service Delivery”.

The objectives of the panel discussion are to:

1. Conduct a situation/gap analysis of the state health financing landscape and identify next steps.

2. Raise awareness/sensitize Rivers healthcare providers on the Proposed Rivers State Health Insurance Programme

This panel will feature an array of experts in health care including:

1. Professor Princewill Chike: Hon Commissioner for Health, Rivers State

2. Dr Atamunotoru Stanford Anikara:Health Financing Specialist, USAID Health Finance & Governance (HFG) Project

3. Mrs Vivian Iwebo: Rivers State Coordinator, National Health Insurance Scheme

4. Dr Akinwunmi Fajola: Regional Community Health Manager, West Africa, SPDC

5. Dr Agba Harry: Permanent Secretary, RSPHCMB

6. Dr Okey Ibeabuchi: Medical Director, Palmers Hospitals

Moderating the discussion would be the erudite and experienced

Dr Siyeofori Dede: Coordinator Public Private Partnership on Health Insurance, RSPHCMB

Dr Vetty Agala: Head, Health Financing, RSMOH

We are poised to provide a robust discussion around the following issues

My name is Jason Fubara, I am 13 years old and I am from Rivers State, Nigeria.

My hobbies are playing football and Video games. In football I love playing as a winger but can rotate into a central attacking midfield role.

I am very good at free kicks and my preferred foot is right. I love setting up my teammates to score goals and I can also score goals myself.

I am also very good at a video game named FIFA in fact I am a veteran at the game.

My favourite footballer is Lionel Messi I love the way he is such a complete attacker and I hope I be like him in the future. My favourite team is Chelsea Football Club @ChelseaFC. My favourite Chelsea FC player was Eden Hazard but now he has left so I don’t know who.

I have a YouTube channel which focuses basically on football players and their skills as well as FIFA videos.

The Chimdi Odu Foundation in collaboration with the Doctors’ Timeout Family (DTOF) invites you to her charity run, tagged “Walk and Run for Charity”.

When last did you really exercise? And was it fun?

You should be part of this.

To be part of this Walk and Run for Charity.

2. Come with something for charity

(Nothing is too little and everything is important and necessary)

3. Participate in the run, brisk walk, aerobics or cheer them on.
