WHAT ARE YOU DOING WITH WHAT YOU HAVE IN YOUR HANDS?
Spread the love

Chiamaka is a beautiful girl, Chiamaka finished her NYSC two years ago but is yet to have a job. She is still job hunting and Instagram slaying.

She spends a part of her spare time watching Nollywood movies, spends the other part posting pictures amidst hundreds of likes on social media, her inbox is usually on fire, but she no get money.

Close to her home is a building site, no five building sites. Chiamaka has a PhD in cooking, the workers on the site rely on food from outside and many times have to walk out to a shop that sells soft drinks and bread close by.

I have no money can I not cook and supply food to these workers? Something inside of her tells her, another slaying something inside of her yells, how will the workers look at me? How will those workers see me? How will the supervisor of the project look at me? If I go there they will think I am now in their class, selling mama put is beneath me. God forbid, She says.

She then takes a selfie and moments later is buried in the comments and likes from the picture. She then enters Nairaland and Linda Ikeji blog, today I must be the 1st to comment.

Well another lady, a young lady just like her, has the same thoughts and never allowed the slay spirit to suppress the thoughts. She smiles home daily with more than #20,000. She may not know it, but she gets more money daily than that doctor she envies in that saloon car.

As Miriam pushes the wheelbarrow that contains empty coolers and crates of soft drinks, Chiamaka sees her from the window and mockingly says to herself, na this kind suffer wey a whole me go suffer, God forbid she says again. Chiamaka however cannot boast of #1000, in fact the only time she ever gets money is when her mum gives to her or her ‘stingy’ boyfriend gives her money after gymnastics. God forbid, I cannot fall my hand like Miriam she says again.

Well Sam smiles and mocks the guys carrying blocks and bags of cement close to the site. God forbid, I no fit carry block, God no gree bad thing abi I dey move forward or backwards he says and see Miriam wey dey form for me na she dey come sell food here. Kai nothing person no go see he says. Bryan that works at the site will be paid #5,000 after the close of work.

Well Sam shakes his head as his eyes catches Bryan. Sam has an appointment to catch, he is dressed so well, but He is going no where in particular, he is actually going to a Nairabet shop, hoping today is his lucky day. Yeah he enters the online pool shop with money someone gave to him to do something else. Today has to be his lucky day, the bet expert can not be wrong he says.

But again, day by day, Miriam goes home the most fulfilled, and she is already drawing up plans to expand her business. Bryan has also saved enough money to complete a project at hand.

Disclaimer.

The animals killed in the making of this movie, ended up in the pot of stew and soup.

Any coincidence with any character living, dead or on oxygen is simply a miracle, my hand no dey.
